ODM Leader Raila Odinga’s wife Mama Ida Odinga has weighed in on his husband’s past stabs at the presidency, stating that she believes he should have been President by now.
According to Mama Ida, she believes his husband has won all the three previous elections he’s contested, adding that in all instances he was rigged out.
“In my mind, I know he (Raila Odinga) won those elections… If it was just counting and no manipulation, he won those elections,” she said.
Addressing the handshake, Mama Ida opined that it caused stability in the country and peaceful co-existence among the rival factions.

She, however, remained tight-lipped on the handshake talks between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his husband.
“You want me to reveal a secret? Some secrets are better kept away from the public…it was a good thing to have the handshake, it changed things in Kenya… Despite all these things, the Odingas and the Kenyattas have never been enemies. We’ve been together for a long time and we’ve always been friends,” she said during an interview with Citizen TV.
Meanwhile, Mama Ida; an alumni of Oganda Girls High School is currently constructing a research and innovation centre at the school as part of her legacy.
“I went to Ogande Girls High School in Homa Bay county, for my form 4…My friends have been urging me to leave some legacy in Ogande. I decided on a library then later we saw it can’t just be a library it should be a research and innovation centre,” she said.
