Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has assigned responsibilities to three Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs) appointed to his Ministry.

In a statement on Monday, March 27, Kindiki congratulated Millicent Omanga, Samuel Ole Tunai and Mohamud Saleh for their appointments and welcomed them to the ministry.

“Congratulations to the newly appointed Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs) Hon. Samuel Ole Tunai, Hon. Millicent Omanga and Amb. Mohamud Saleh on appointment in the Ministry of Interior & National Administration. Welcome to the Ministry,” the statement read in part.

Kindiki allocated Omanga to take charge of reforms in the Civil Registration Services (CRS), the National Registration Bureau (NRB) and the Department of Refugee Affairs (DRA) under the State Department for Immigration & Citizen Services.

Tunai was assigned to the State Department for Internal Security & National Administration while Ambassador Mohamud was assigned to the State Department for Correctional Services where he will take charge of reforms in the Kenya Prisons Service (KPS) and Borstal Institutions and the Probation Department.

This is after the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and Katiba Institute had moved to court to challenge President Ruto over appointing fifty CASs.
