Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has proposed people who leak private photos and videos of others be sentenced to life imprisonment.
Speaking on Thursday, April 20 at the National Assembly, Odhiambo stated it was wrong for people to leak bedroom photos and videos without the owner's consent.
“We are going to amend our laws and make strict penalties. I don’t support the death penalty, I wish I was but if were supporting I would say bring it on these kinds of people. Because I don’t support it, I think we need to enhance the sentences to life,” she proposed.

The ODM MP also asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to investigate people who are victimizing people on social media.
“We cannot be treating women like rubbish. I want to tell women who are victimizing another woman who is already a victim, shame on you. Who told you that a woman posted a photo of herself? This must stop and the DCI must follow those people. There are so many women who have been harassed,” she added.
Her remarks come days after an alleged video of Interior Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Millicent Omanga went viral on social media.
