Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya was on Saturday, May 6 attacked by a section of Kakamega MCAs during the funeral of former Kisa East MCA Stephen Maloba in Kwisero.

He also stated that he managed to defend himself from the MCAs using the karate skills he learned while going to the gym at Parliament.
“Kakamega MCAs are very rude how can they try to block MPs from addressing people of khwisero. I think they are still immature and in adolescent stage of politics....imebidi nijitetee....how can they come to attack me while addressing uzuri mimi ni wa karate,” Salasya stated.
He added, “Big thanks to Clerk Mr Njoroge you have a good team of gym instructors in our gym facility, they have made me physically fit for the few weeks I have been attending, and within 5 seconds I was able to dismantle array of MCAs who wanted to attack me.”
