In a series of tweets on Monday, January 4, 2021, Mutahi Ngunyi argued that Ruto will be irrelevant if Kikuyus are taken away from him.

He likened Ruto to a man walking on feet of clay, stating that “a mild afternoon shower will melt his feet of clay”.

He further accused the DP of inciting members of the Kikuyu community against President Uhuru Kenyatta, arguing that either Ruto is cheating Kikuyus or vice versa.

“Best way to destroy William Ruto is to take Kikuyus away from him. It is that simple. Without Kikuyus there is no Ruto. Our fren is walking on feet of clay. A mild afternoon shower in Gema will melt his feet of clay. End of discussion. Am I right or am I right?

“William Ruto incited Kikuyus against Uhuru Kenyatta. the Gema rebellion and Kikuyu poison against Uhuru Kenyatta were all produced by Ruto systematically. But here is the ground truth: either Ruto is cheating the Kikuyus or the Kikuyus are cheating Ruto. And I am a Kikuyu,” he tweeted.
