President William Ruto has appointed Manoj Shah to be the chairperson of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) board of directors.
According to a gazette notice issued on Friday, June 9, Shah will serve on the board for a period of three years replacing Aden Noor Ali whose appointment has been revoked.
“ I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Manoj Shah (Dr.) to be the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June 2023. The appointment of Aden Noor Ali is revoked,” the notice read in part.

President Ruto also appointed Jacob Kahiu to be the chairperson of the Tea Board of Kenya. Kahiu will serve in the role for a period of three years.
He will take over from Kiarie Mburu whose appointment has been revoked.
“I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Jacob Kamau Kahiu to be the chairperson of the Tea Board of Kenya, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 9th June 2023. The appointment of David Kiarie Mburu (Dr.) is revoked,” the notice read.
In other appointments, Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen has appointed Johnson Losilian, Paul Posho, and Lilian Mogendi to be members of the NTSA Board of Directors for a period of three years.
Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u has appointed Josephine Eboko and Faith Chirchir to be a member and secretary, respectively, of the Capital Markets Tribunal, for a period of three years.
