Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has called for the amendment of the Constitution to provide a Deputy President with the powers to remove a President from office.

Making reference to the chaos in the United States, that have seen leaders call on Vice President Mike Spence, to remove President Donald Trump from office by invoking the 25th Amendment, Senator Ledama noted that it is time Kenya goes the same route.

“A constitution that empowers a Vice President to remove a President is what we need in Kenya! The 25th amendment to the US constitution empowers @VP to declare @realDonaldTrump "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office" in a written declaration. It’s time!” he tweeted.

The Senator urged all Kenyans to “wake up” and fight for the liberation of the country from what he terms as “a few greedy mongloids”.

“Wake up everybody no more sleeping in bed! No more backward thinking time for thinking ahead. Kenya needs you to determine her future! We must now put Kenya in our mind and not allow a few greedy mongoloids to think for 47M Kenyans. Wake up Kenya!” Senator Ledama opined.

In the US, pro-Trump supporters stormed Congress offices and disrupted tallying of the Electoral College votes by the US congress. Four people have reportedly died in the fracas.
