“We spent time discussing a number of matters of international importance particularly on African affairs including the South Sudan conflict together with the Archbishop of Canterbury's Special Representative on the conflict in the Sub-sahara Africa, Bishop Precious Okomu, and the very Reverend Canon Dr Sammy Wainaina, Provost of All Saints’ Cathedral, Nairobi, Kenya and the Advisor for Anglican Communion Affairs for the His Grace Arch. Justin Welby. It is our collective prayer that everlastingly peace will prevail in our region,” he added.
Kalonzo’s statement comes after he missed the Azimio la Umoja rally in Kamukunji on Tuesday, raising eyebrows among its supporters.
Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga however told the Azimio supporters that Kalonzo was on a foreign trip.
"Nimeongea na Ndugu yangu Kalonzo, ako huko Ulaya na hiyo ndio sababu hayuko hapa na sisi Leo. Amenituma niwasalimie. Mumepokea," Raila said.
