Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has weighed in on President William Ruto’s meeting with Luo Nyanza MPs on Tuesday at State House.
Ahmednasir in a Tweet on Wednesday, July 5, stated that the Nyanza MPs are making history and will replace Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga as the next Luo leader.
“We are witnessing history...this is the post-Raila Luo leadership team led by Caroli and Prof Ojienda meeting H. E William Ruto. The future is now,” said Ahmednassir.
The MPs who met the Head of State on Tuesday include; Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Prof. Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), and Mark Nyamita (Uriri). Others were Paul Abuor (Rongo) and Phelix Odiwuor “Jalang’o” (Lang’ata).

President William in a statement after meeting with the Nyanza MPs stated that he will work with all leaders from across the country without reservation.
"We will work with leaders across the country without reservation or discrimination, regardless of political affiliation, to deliver services to the people. This is what the Constitution demands and what all Kenyans deserve,” President Ruto stated.
Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has however asked the 'rebel' ODM MPs to quit office and seek a fresh mandate from the people.
"These constant State House visits by rogue ODM legislators who signed a covenant with the people through the party are so grotesque! I wish they would just man up and resign from their positions and seek the people's mandate through their newfound concubine!" he stated.
