The immediate former ICT CS has revealed his plans after handing over to Eliud Owalo.

Former ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has intimated that he will be spending more time  in his farm following his exit from government.

Speaking during the handover ceremony on Friday, October 28, Mucheru, however, said that he will be available for any consultation.

“I am also available for any consultation. I may be spending time on my farm more than in other areas, but I think there is a good network there so we can be able to communicate,” Mucheru said.

He said that he was proud to have served in the role even as he described the ICT Ministry as one of the best ministries in the government.

Mucheru congratulated the new ICT CS Eliud Owalo on his appointment, promising to offer him any support that he would need.

"I wish to sincerely thank my predecessor Joe Mucheru for steering this ministry to where it is today. I have listened to you keenly and I laud your efforts and input thus far. I look forward to leading in pushing to the next level the visionary agenda of making Kenya prosperous, empowered digital society," he said.

Outgoing CSs across all ministries handed over to their successors on Friday following the swearing-in of the new Cabinet on Thursday.
