Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has come under harsh criticism after he sent a congratulation message to Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni following his controversial re-election.
In a tweet, Mudavadi hailed Museveni for the win and wished Ugandans well.
“I take this early opportunity to congratulate President Yoweri Museveni upon his victory and re- election. I wish the people of Uganda continued prosperity as he embarks on his fresh mandate,” he tweeted.
The tweet did not augur well with a section of netizens who accused him of supporting a dictator.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s Electoral body earlier today declared incumbent Yoweri Museveni as President-Elect of the Republic of Uganda.
