Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Ndindi Nyoro was on Thursday, November 3, elected as the Chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee. 

The Kiharu legislator is a close ally of President William Ruto.  Teso South legislator Mary Emaase was elected the Vice Chairperson in the hotly contested race with Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

At the same time, the National Assembly Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will be headed by Nominated MP John Mbadi who was elected unopposed as its Chairperson in the Committee's first sitting.

Butere MP Hon. Nicholas Tindi was elected the vice chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). 

The Special Funds Account Committee elected Fatuma Zainab Mohamed, MP (Migori County) as it’s chairperson. She will be deputized by Hon Dawood Abdul Rahim, MP ( North Imenti) who was elected unopposed.
