“The Commission website is currently down, and our ICT experts are doing their best to restore the system."

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced that its job portal has collapsed.

In a statement via X on Monday, November 20, the commission apologized for the inconvenience caused noting that its technicians are working to restore it.

“The Commission website is currently down, and our ICT experts are doing their best to restore the system. We apologize for the inconvenience caused,” read the statement in part.

The commission however gave Kenyans an alternative of using pscims.publicservice.go.ke/jobs/ to access the job portal.

PSC is an independent commission that provides a secure channel where Kenyans can apply for government jobs. It also establishes and abolishes public offices and confirms appointments.

The commission was established in 1954 by the British Colonial Government. It was originally known as the Civil Service Commission but was renamed in 1963 and enshrined in the constitution after Kenya gained independence.

The commission is comprised of a chairperson, a vice chairperson, and seven members.
