Toto presented the car to her local church for prayers.

Bomet woman representative Linet Chepkorir has acquired her first car months after making it to the National Assembly.

The lawmaker said the car would for use in her official duties.

She fellowshipped with the faithful of the Kingdom Aflame Ministries in Silibwet Township ward, Bomet Central Sub County, where the car, a Toyota Prado TX, was blessed ahead of its use.

"I'm glad they took part in praying for the new vehicle as I intend to use it for official duties that benefits the locals of Bomet County," Toto said.

Toto became a sensational after she trounced her competitors in the UDA nominations months to the August 9, polls.

Owing to the UDA party wave that enjoyed huge support in the Rift Valley region, a win in the nomination was as good as a win in the General Elections.

This was manifested in the General Election where she clinched the seat with ease.

Prior to winning the UDA nominations, she had been perceived as an underdog with some even criticizing her dress code,

She however bullied her way through the criticism and managed to bag the seat.

The youngest legislator in the 13th parliament attributed her political success to a boda boda operator who had offered to facilitate her movement during the campaigns.

In her maiden submission in the August House, Toto dedicated a chunk of her time to hail the rider.

"Allow me to mention one person by the name of Gideon Cheruyiot. When I declared my ambition, he came to my home and asked me whether I was serious about my candidature," she said.

"He then decided to assist me with his bodaboda. He fueled it with his own money and took me to the field in the morning and back home in the evening. Gideon, wherever you are, may God bless you," she said
