The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has published a list of over 1.3 million verified supporters of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Constitutional Amendment push.

In a notice published on local dailies, IEBC boss Wafula Chebukati urged Kenyans to scrutinize the list and report any wrongdoings.

To access the list, one has to follow these simple steps

  • Visit the IEBC website
  • Click on the election tab
  • Select the referendum option
  • Select the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) option

Here is a direct link to the verified BBI signatures list: https://www.iebc.or.ke/election/?Building_Bridges_Initiative

Should you find that your name is on the list without your consent, you can report the same to IEBC by writing a letter to the Acting CEO of the commission.

“The duly signed objecting letter containing Name, ID number and contact telephone number should either be scanned and emailed to [email protected] or dropped at the IEBC offices, Anniversary Towers, 7th Floor, University Way, latest by 5:00pm on Monday 25th January, 2021,” Chebukati said.

IEBC has been under immense pressure from the BBI secretariat t complete verifying the signatures before end of January or face the axe.

The move to publish the list means that IEBC is at the tail end of the process.
