Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei now says Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has sued him in court.
Addressing the media on Thursday, December 7, Cherargei said he has been sued over demanding equity in the development of roads in Nandi County.
“The CS for roads has taken me to court and he has not only taken me to court he has taken the entire one million plus residents of Nandi to court because I was demanding the development of roads in Nandi, he has taken us to court for only asking for fairness and equity in terms of road development,” said Cherargei.
The Nandi Senator sensationally claimed that CS Murkomen moved to court after trying to send goons and other leaders to insult him.
“He tried sending goons and other leaders to try insulting me in funerals, I resisted strongly after realizing that strategy failed he is now rushing to court to try and gag me from fighting for the rights of the people of Nandi,” he added.

Senator Cherargei vowed to fight the law suit in court until the Nandi locals get quality roads.
CS Murkomen and Cherargei have been at loggerheads since they clashed at a funeral in Nandi in October.
Their clash began when Cherargei objected to the awarding of a road tender to a non-local contractor in the county.
His views did not sit well with CS Murkomen, who said everyone was being treated equally in the tender process.
The Transport CS stated that if President Ruto had used Cherargei's brain, the country would have been in crisis.
“I want to teach you something. If the President was using a brain like yours, we would not be having the country now,” Murkomen told the Nandi Senator.
