Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has been put on the spot after his comments on shisha.
In a statement via his X account on Saturday, December 23 night, Duale said shisha users must face the law as the substance was banned in Kenya since 2017.
“Shisha addicts must face the law, as it is illegal in Kenya since 2017. Law enforcement agents must raid shisha dens,” Duale stated.
This comes after the officers from the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) on Friday raided a shisha joint in Kimani, arresting 25 people and confiscating 117 shisha bongs.

If the reasons behind having many turning up to drugs isn't addressed, the customer base will continue growing. Every time there's a serious social economic problem, drugs has been a place to turn to to depress stress and little does the victims realise the deeper hole they dig.

The way bhang has never been legalized and the rate is being used we are here assuming that Shisha smoking ended. What is important ni watu watafute pesa. Money talks and is Key. Hii ingine ni sinema na sarakasi ya Wayne pesa.

A Somali targetting his own people distract us from the fact that he's going nothing about actual insecurity. Be it robbers, murderers, bandits, local and international terrorists. Shisha addicts can't be a priority
