Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir has disclosed that he had a meeting with President William Ruto's economic team led by David Ndii. 

In an update on Tuesday, November 15, Governor Nassir mentioned that his team and Ndii held deliberations on areas of collaboration between the National Government and the County Government. 

According to the Mombasa Governor, they also initiated discussions on modalities of more PPP projects in Mombasa to advance development in the region. 

"During my working visit in Nairobi, I had the privilege to lead my team in discussions with Dr. David Ndii and Dr. Kamau Thugge as I work to revive the economic fortunes of Mombasa county.

"Our deliberations touched on areas of collaboration between the National Government and the county Government to enhance own- source revenue for local governments to finance the services we offer to the people of Mombasa. We initiated discussions on modalities of more PPP projects in Mombasa to advance development for our people," Governor Nassir stated.

President Ruto appointed economist David Ndii to Chair the Presidential Council of Economic Advisors. 

Former Treasury Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge, who was hounded out of office over corruption before, is now heading the Fiscal Affairs and Budget Policy in Ruto's administration.
