The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary closure of a section of Haile Selassie Avenue between Haile Selassie roundabout and Parliament Road.
In a public notice on Friday, April 12, KeNHA said the section will be closed from Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10.00 pm to Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 5.00 am.
The authority noted that the temporary closure will allow the installation of service ducts in the section.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that there will be a temporary closure of Haile Selassie Avenue (CBD Bound Lanes) between Haile Selassie roundabout and Parliament Road.
"This closure is scheduled to commence from Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10.00 pm to Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 5.00 am. This is to allow for the installation of Service Ducts,” KeNHA stated.

The authority urged motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.
“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” KeNHA added.
This comes a week after KeNHA temporarily closed the section between the Haile Selassie roundabout and Parliament Road to facilitate the installation of service ducts.
The authority has been doing maintenance works across major roads in the Nairobi CBD for the past few weeks.
