Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested Douglas Kipkemoi after allegedly defiling a minor.

In a statement on Tuesday, July 23, DCI the 42-year-old Kabianga assistant chief defiled a minor in the Londiani area.

“Detectives based at Kuresoi North sub-County have apprehended Douglas Koech Kipkemoi 42, the assistant chief Kabianga Sub-Location who is accused of defiling a minor in Kabianga area of Londiani Sub-County,” read the DCI statement in part.

According to the DCI, the suspect was apprehended after the parents of the four-year-old minor reported that the victim was experiencing severe pain while passing urine.

The minor revealed that she had been defiled and was taken to Londiani Sub-County Hospital for medical examination and treatment.

“The arrest followed a harrowing report from the parents of a 4-year-old minor who had complained of severe pain while passing urine prompting her parents to investigate further.

“To their horror, she revealed that she had been defiled by the suspect prompting the parents to immediately take her to Londiani Sub-County Hospital for medical examination and treatment,” DCI stated.

The incident was reported and detectives commenced investigations on the suspect leading to his arrest.

The Kabianga assistant chief was arraigned in court and is currently remanded at Milimani GK Prison in Nakuru.

The case will be mentioned on July 25, 2024.
