The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of extremely cold nights in parts of the central highlands, Rift Valley and south-eastern lowlands for the next seven days.
In a weather forecast update on Monday, July 29, the weatherman disclosed that the nighttime temperatures in the regions will go below 10°C.
However, Kenya Met warned of daytime temperatures in excess of 30°C in some parts of the coast, north-eastern and north-western Kenya.
"Night-time temperatures will be low (less than 10°C) in parts of the Central Highlands, the Rift Valley, & the South-eastern lowlands.

"High daytime (max) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in parts of the coast, north-eastern, and north-western Kenya," Kenya Met stated.
The central highlands consist of the counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi while the south-eastern lowlands include Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta.
At the same time, the weatherman noted that rainfall will continue to be experienced in some parts of the central highlands, Western Kenya, the Rift Valley, north-western Kenya and the coast.
"Rainfall will continue in parts of the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, the Rift Valley, North-western Kenya, and the Coast. The rest of the country will be generally dry," the weatherman added.
