“I call on those selected to serve in the cabinet to focus on the implementation of programmes and policies that will transform the lives of Kenyans and move the country forward. Let us not waste this golden opportunity,” said Ruto.
The meeting comes days after the newly reconstituted cabinet took an oath of office during an event held at State House.
On July 11, the Head of State dismissed the entire Cabinet except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi following the Gen Z-led anti-government protests.
"I have decided to dismiss with immediate effect all cabinet secretaries and attorney general of the Cabinet of Kenya except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs," Ruto said then.
He then reconstituted the Cabinet on July 19 and July 24 bringing in five key allies of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
