Interior CS Kithure Kindiki on Tuesdaym November 29, made an impromptu visit to Nyayo House in Nairobi.
Nyayo House hosts the immigration services department.
It is where passport applications are done, processed and even renewals among other services.
Nairobi Leo has established that the CS visited the house following complaints from members of the public who expressed concerns over delays.

He first began by interacting with those in the service queue.
The tour also turned into a familiarisation tour as he met the staff at the offices.
He later met the deputy director general at the department Isaac Ochieng who briefed him on progress there.
He promised to address the challenges facing the processing of the passport to enable Kenyans to access essential services with ease.
Last week, the department said they have been running low on passport stock levels for the past few months.“In this regard, the Directorate has decided that passport printing be limited to urgent cases only for the time being.”
“This is therefore to inform you to limit your requests for special cases to very urgent cases only,” said the directorate Director General Alexander Muteshi in an internal memo dated November 8.
He also told Senate’s National Security and Defence Committee those who have applied for the passports will have to wait longer for their passports owing to a lack of booklets for printing.
