Mediamax journalist Catherine Wanjeri who was shot during the anti-government protests in Nakuru County now says she is not safe.
Speaking to the press on Monday, September 2, Wanjeri said she received a phone call from an unidentified person who threatened her.
She noted that she was instructed to share the number that called her to anyone including the police.
“I feel like I am not safe being in Nakuru or anywhere in the country. It is funny how the person who called me when I landed in Nakuru and I was having a doctor’s appointment that day and gave me some information.
“They dared me not to share that number with anyone and since that day Nakuru has been a place where I don’t feel safe. There are vehicles that have been following me and it makes me feel not so safe and not comfortable,” Wanjeri stated.
