Jubilee Secretary General, Raphael Tuju, has extended the purge on rebels to MCAs.
On Thursday, Tuju announced the suspension of seven Nyandarua MCAs for alleged gross misconduct to pave way for the second impeachment of Speaker Ndegwa Wahome.
The seven include; Peter Gathungu (Leshau Pondo ward) Suleiman Kihika (Kanjuiri ward) and Muchiri Kariuki (Murungari ward) and their nominated counterparts Goergina Wanjiru, Esther Nyambura, Margarate Wanjiru, Esther Nyambura.

In addition, they were also barred from attending the House for six months.
The seven MCAs are allied to the Speaker of Nyandarua Ndegwa Wahome, an ally of Deputy President William Ruto, who has now been impeached for a second time.
On Wednesday, the House learned that the seven had already been suspended after the votes were cast in a motion to impeach the speaker.
The Outcome of the motion was; 26 MCAs were in favor of the motion, 4 opposed the motion while 7 were rejects.
“The speaker has outrightly shown that he is unable to hold office. That is why we want him to get out of the office so that we can have a competent person. All he keeps asking from the executive is for more money yet he cannot account for the ones he has been allocated,” Said the Majority Leader Edinard King’ori.
In December 2020, the MCAs traded blows during a special sitting meant to communicate the gazette notice on the impeachment against Wahome.
