One of the bus's tyres burst leading to the nasty accident.

Four people have perished in a grisly road accident in Njuri, Tharaka Nithi county.

The fatalities were among the attendees gracing a wedding in Karen, Nairobi county.

The bus in which they were travelling had one of its tyres bursting leading to the driver losing control.

As confirmed by the Tharaka Nithi disaster manager Alex Mugambi, the ill-fated bus belongs to Ruiri Girls High School.

The occupants of the bus who survived the accident were rushed to the Chuks County Referral Hospital.

This comes barely a week after passengers aboard a Guardian Coach Service bus survived a crash in Kisii county.

On Saturday, November 26, the bus plunged into the Nyambere River leaving the passengers trapped inside.

With the help of the Kisii county disaster management personnel, the rescuers managed to salvage the passenger.

Those who sustained serious injuries were rushed to the Kisii County Referral Hospital.

The bus heading to Migori from Nairobi was hit by a canter ferrying farm produce.

No fatality was reported from the accident.
