Geoffrey Mosiria, the Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment, has advised Kenyans to be vigilant of the street food sold in the streets following the discovery of smoke trolleys in a public toilet.
In a statement dated Wednesday, October 10, Mosiria revealed that some vendors were storing their equipment in places such as toilets at night.
Therefore, he asked Kenyans to always seek information on where the food is prepared by the vendors.

"As you consume street food, always remember to ask the vendors where the food is prepared and where they store their trolleys," he stated.
"It's important to ensure that the food is prepared in a clean and hygienic environment and that the trolleys are properly stored to avoid contamination. Your health and safety should always come first when enjoying street food."
On the other hand, he cautioned street food vendors who were storing their equipment in contamination-prone areas such as toilets.
Mosiria indicated that county officials were on high alert to take action against those who contravene the safety and health standards.
"We are going to make sure we restore order and anyone found violating the law action shall be taken against them. Let’s join hands to ensure a clean and safe city for all," the official added.
