A new twist has emerged after police located a woman alleged to have been kidnapped in Kitisuru area by unknown people who reportedly promised her a job opportunity.
In a statement on Saturday, November 16, the National Police Service (NPS) disclosed that the woman, Mercy Awuor, was reported kidnapped by her husband, Brian Andore, at Kitisuru Police Station on November 9.
Following the report, detectives from the DCI's Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) embarked on the search of Awuor.
On November 13, the detectives arrested one suspect in Gitaru area whose phone number had been used to demand a Ksh150,000 ransom in the alleged kidnapping.
However, on November 16, police proceeded to the location where Awuor's phone number was last located and found her with her husband, in this case George Odada.
