Kirinyaga Women Rep Njeri Maina has fired a warning at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's political rivals after his rapturous welcome at Ihura stadium in Murang'a County.
In an update on X on Sunday, November 24, the MP noted that no political figure will be able to go against Gachagua in any part of the Mt. Kenya region.
"Anyone who will fight Rigathi Gachagua Mt. Kenya; North, East, West, or South of it will sink faster than HMS Hood," Njeri said.
HMS Hood is a famous British battleship that sank quickly in 1941 after being struck during a naval battle with the German battleship Bismarck.
Gachagua made a brief stop at Ihura Stadium where he received a rapturous welcome at the stadium.

"Thank you for your warm welcome! Thank you, great people of Murang'a, and great warmth to the organizers," he later wrote on Facebook.
At the same time, peaking during a church service at AIPCA Kangari in Kigumo, Gachagua asked President William Ruto to listen to the voice of the people.
The former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua announced that he would be making known his next political move following his impeachment next year.
Gachagua stated that they had known the true colours of President Ruto and promised to make a calculated move for the Mt Kenya region.
''This January, I will tell you what we have agreed. It's good that President Ruto brought this fight with me and Mt Kenya in his first term. Before, we did not know him well; he came with a Bible, and now we understand and know him better. We know his true colours," Gachagua said.
He claimed that the issue with the Adani Group deal is what led to his fallout with Ruto, asserting that he had told the president that the deals with the Indian firm were shady.
“The matter with Adani is what led to my fallout with the president. Because in the Cabinet, I was the only person who could tell him the truth. All the others were cowards. I told him the issue with Adani is shady and the people don’t want it.
"He hated me. It was said I’m opposing government projects. I would like to ask the president to take time to read the book of John 8:31. Let him agree to listen to the people of Kenya,” the former DP stated.
