Security officers manning Gachagua and the MPs were forced to intervene to guarantee their safety.

Chao erupted at the burial service of the late Erastus Nduati in Limuru which was being attended by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

In the incident that was captured on Gachagua's livestream on Thursday, November 28, a section of attendees began heckling when former Limuru MP Peter Mwathi was making his speech.

The group later on made its way to the dias area where the speakers were standing.

In the middle of the confrontation, security officers manning Gachagua and the MPs were forced to intervene to guarantee their safety.

Some of the leaders who were seated next to Gachagua also fled when the goons approached their tent.

During the confrontation, some of the attendees sustained injuries while several chairs and tents were damaged.

A vehicle that was also parked in the compound was also damaged.

The cause of the chaos is yet to be known, however, preliminary reports allege that the chaos may have been occasioned by differences among the politicians.

At the time of the chaos, Gachagua had not given his address to the mourners.

The former DP had attended the vent with some of his allies including Kiambu Senator Karungo Wa Thang'wa.
