Former Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has thanked President William Ruto for nominating him as the Cabinet Secretary for Trade.
In a statement on Saturday, December 28, Kinyanjui expressed his gratitude for being nominated to the cabinet and graciously accepted the offer.
"For God and country, I accept the honour of nomination to serve our nation as the Cabinet Secretary for Investment, Trade, and Industry.
"I take this opportunity to thank President William Ruto for demonstrating confidence in my ability to steer this critical docket. As always, integrity, respect for the Constitution, and honesty shall guide my way," Kinyanjui remarked.
The former county boss is one of the three latest entries to the cabinet. In his latest changes, President Ruto nominated Kinyanjui, former Health CS Mutahi Kagwe and former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo to his cabinet.

The Head of State nominated Kagwe as the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Kabogo as the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and Digital Economy.
On December 24, the Clerk of the National Assembly Samuel Njoroge disclosed that the vetting of the nominees will begin in January 2025.
In a statement, Njoroge stated that the Committee on Appointments is scheduled to vet nominees for Cabinet Secretary positions on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Kagwe will be vetted at 12:00 p.m. followed by Kabogo at 3:00pm and Kinyanjui will crown the process at 5:00 p.m.
