The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has caused Kenyans over reports of accessing the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results via the SMS.
In a statement on Monday, January 13, KNEC explained that the results can only be accessed through the link http://results.knec.ac.ke.
The council flagged a poster claiming that results could be checked via SMS and that the public could contact KNEC for assistance.
"To access your 2024 KCSE examination results online, use the link http://results.knec.ac.ke. Enter your index number and any one of your registered names on the spaces provided. Click on "View Results" to display your scores," KNEC stated.
While officially releasing the KCSE results on Thursday, January 9, Education CS Julius Ogamba noted that the results will be accessed directly from the KNEC website and did not provide an option for SMS.
