The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has unveiled its new leadership structure following its merger with the Amani National Congress (ANC).
According to a statement released on Friday, January 17 by UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan, President William Ruto is the Party Leader, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is the 1st Deputy Party Leader while Lamu Governor Issa Timamy is the 2nd Deputy Party Leader.
On the other hand, Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire will serve as the National Chairperson while Omar takes on the role of Secretary General.
Kelvin Lunani serves as the Vice Chairperson, Omboko Milemba as the Deputy Secretary General, Japheth Nyakundi as the National Treasurer and Vincent Kawaya as the National Organizing Secretary.

Omar also addressed reports that claimed Kindiki had been replaced as deputy party leader, expressing concern over the rise in fake news.
“The UDA Party wishes to express its concern over the unprecedented rise in fake news, including those from some mainstream media houses, in a deliberate and well-orchestrated scheme of misinformation intended to detract well-meaning citizens of our nation in the various sectors and formations of government and society.
"The alarmists are determined to ensure our various programs aimed at uniting Kenyans and pursuing our inclusive development agenda is disrupted or scuttled," the statement read.
UDA and ANC announced their merger on Friday afternoon.
In a press briefing at State House Nairobi on Friday, Mbarire announced that the party would be rebranding following the merger.
She noted that changes would be made to the party logo among other brand identities of UDA.
"The United Democratic Alliance party and the Amani National Congress have today merged as one known as the United Democratic Alliance party which is also going to change its name in the branding.
"The party has incorporated ANC's identity symbols in the logo, imagery, and topography in the brand of the new party and shall resultantly make a myriad of changes in the governance and operations of the party," she said.
Mbarire also indicated that a team had already been formed a team assist with the merger set to be finalised within 90 days.
