The case is scheduled for mention on February 17, 2025.
This comes about three months after, a radiographer named Robert Kiplangat from Plainsview Hospital in Ruiru was charged with the rape of a 26-year-old female patient.
The incident reportedly occurred on November 16, 2024, when the victim visited the hospital for a gynecological consultation.
After paying a consultation fee of Ksh 2,000, she was referred for a pelvic scan to be conducted by Kiplangat.
During the procedure, he allegedly instructed her to remove her lower garments and, citing a lack of appropriate medical equipment, returned with two bananas, proposing an unorthodox method involving a condom.
The victim reported experiencing unusual pain during the procedure and, upon turning around, discovered Kiplangat partially undressed.
Her subsequent screams alerted hospital staff and other patients, despite the room being locked.
Following the incident, she filed a report at Ruiru Police Station, and a medical examination at Ruiru Level 4 Hospital corroborated her claims, leading to Kiplangat's arrest.
He was arraigned at Ruiru Law Courts on November 19, 2024, where he denied the charges.
