Two people have lost their lives after being involved in a grisly road accident at Nyakairu along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway.
In an update on Saturday, March 1 night, St John’s Ambulance Kenya revealed that the accident involved two personal cars and a lorry.
Twelve people who were injured during the road crash were taken to Naivasha General Hospital for treatment.
“Two people lost their lives, and twelve others injured in a road crash at Nyakairu along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway. The accident involved a lorry and two personal cars.
"St John Kenya's Kinungi Community First Responders provided timely First Aid support. The injured were rushed to Naivasha General Hospital,” St John Ambulance stated.

This comes barely a week after four people were killed and 56 others injured during a road accident at Ogona junction along the Londiani-Muhoroni highway.
The accident happened on Monday, February 24 night after a Nyaugenya bus travelling to Nairobi collided with a truck heading towards Muhoroni.
The bus then veered off the road and crashed into a sugarcane plantation leading to the death of four passengers on the spot.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to St. Vincent de Paul Hospital Mortuary while the 56 passengers who sustained injuries were taken to various hospitals, including St. Vincent Mission Hospital, Koru Mission Hospital, and Muhoroni Subcounty Hospital.
Four of the injured passengers were transferred to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu for specialized medical care.
