The court ordered the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit to present former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko in court on Tuesday.
This is after Sonko failed to appear for a hearing of his case on Monday, March 1 2021.
Last week his doctor told the court that Sonko needs an urgent hip replacement surgery provided in South Africa.
According to Dr Esther Wekesa from Kenyatta National Hospital, Sonko developed severe arthritis, thus the need for urgent surgery to replace his hip.

Dr Wekesa noted that the country has one of the best specialists in such cases; Dr Robert Van Der Plank who has accepted to handle Sonko’s case.
The ex-Nairobi governor has been in the hospital for two weeks now. He was admitted early this month while in custody following his arrest over claims of violence, destruction of property, and terror-related changes.
At the same time, police intensified their crackdown on the former Nairobi Governor arresting his aides and searching their houses over allegations of terrorism activities.
Reports indicated that officers from the Anti Terror Police Unit (ATPU) were interrogating Sonko while he is admitted.
