Nairobi businessman Esmael Mohamed Jibril has passed on. The city entrepreneur is also the brother to Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.
Jibril died on the evening of Monday, March 1, 2021, while undergoing treatment in India.
President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned the businessman as an astute leader and determined entrepreneur who employed several youths in the country.

“As a country, we will forever owe a debt of gratitude to Mohamed for his role in making Kenya a better economy and, especially for the job opportunities he created for our people through his successful commercial interests," President Kenyatta stated.
The late businessman had interests in Jibram Investments Limited and Java Coffee House, one of East Africa's leading coffee houses along with several other ventures.
The head of state prayed that God grant the family and friends of the fallen businessman strength to bear the grief.
