The National Police Service (NPS) has confirmed that a foreign national who died during an accident along Ngong Road on Thursday, March 13, was hit by a government vehicle.
In a statement, Police Spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga revealed that the investigations into the matter had already commenced.
Consequently, the police called on Kenyans who witnessed the incident to aid in the investigations by providing information on the same.
"Following a road traffic accident that occurred today at Adams Arcade along Ngong Road involving a government vehicle, which resulted in the death of a pedestrian who is a foreign national, the National Police Service (NPS) is now handling the matter, and investigations have commenced," read the statement in part.

Preliminary reports indicated that the foreigner was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle in President William Ruto's convoy.
The incident took place around Adams Arcade as the President was heading for a tour in Kibra. Ruto was in the company of Governor Johnson Sakaja and MPs from the city.
The exact vehicle and the department it is attached to is yet to be revealed.
