Omanga expressed that the quality Raila had shown is often overlooked in politics.

Former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has heaped praise on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga following the latest changes effected by President William Ruto in government.

In a statement dated Friday, March 21, Omanga acknowledged that some of Raila's allies were the biggest beneficiaries in the latest appointments.

She noted that Raila's allies, who had been appointed had been loyal soldiers of the ODM boss - crediting him for rewarding loyalty.

Omanga expressed that loyalty is often overlooked in the political arena.

"Leadership is about vision, resilience, and, most importantly, rewarding those who walk the journey with you. Raila Odinga exemplifies this principle, making him not just a political icon but a leader who understands the essence of true camaraderie," she wrote.

On the other hand, she noted that Raila had given some of the opportunities to women leaders, adding that there was also regional balancing among his troops.

"What’s even more commendable is how he balances regional representation, gender, and experience in his decisions. Raila is a true nationalist, always striving to ensure that all communities feel included," Omanga added.

"His track record speaks for itself—whether in government roles, party positions, or even business opportunities, he ensures that key regions and groups are well represented. His emphasis on gender balance is also notable, as he consistently advocates for and supports women in leadership."

Some of Raila's allies who were appointed as PSs by Ruto include Judith Naiyai Pareno (Human Rights & Constitutional Affairs PS) and Caroline Wanjiru Karugu ( East African Community (EAC) Affairs PS).
