Police have arrested a United Democratic Party (UDA) candidate in the ongoing by-election in Kiamokama ward in Kisii County.
The candidate identified as Moses Nyandusi Nyakeremba was arrested over claims of voter bribery.
Flamboyant politician Don Bosco Gichana was also arrested together with several other UDA supporters.

The group was arrested at Moremani centre. Meanwhile, there are several by-elections happening in the country today.
In Kakamega County, Matungu residents have taken to the polls to elect their new Member of Parliament same to Kabuchai constituency in Bungoma County.
In the two constituencies, the front runners are members of ANC, Ford Kenya, UDA and ODM parties.
In Nakuru, residents of London Ward have also taken to the poll to elect their new Member of County Assembly.
Several top leaders allied to the UDA Party have itched camp in the area to oversee the voting exercise. Some of the leaders currently there include; Senators; Kipchumba Murkomen, Susan Kihika and Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir.
The leaders had earlier claimed that there’s a plot to cause violence and intimidation in the polls in a bid to rig out their candidate.
The police, and IEBC, however, dismissed the claims assuring Kenyans that the process would be free and fair.
