Moja Expressway Company has announced the planned closure of the Mlolongo toll station and the Syokimau entrance A.
In a statement by the company on Friday, April 11, the closure will be in effect from Saturday, April 12, at 10 pm.
The toll stations will be reopened on Sunday, April 13, at 8 am.
The company explained that the closure was being effected to allow the construction of the pedestrian overpass at the Katani area.
Consequently, motorists who use the two toll stations were encouraged to use the alternative toll stations provided.

"CBD-bound motorists using the Mlolongo & Syokimau entrance A are advised to use the SGR entrance, while Mlolongo-bound motorists are advised to use the JKIA exit. Please plan your trips accordingly, as the closure will significantly affect traffic.
"Apologies for the inconvenience caused and thank you for choosing the Nairobi Expressway," read the advisory in part.
Meanwhile, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) also announced the closure of parts of Thika Road for the weekend.
The closure will be necessitated by the planned maintenance works on the road.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) would like to inform the public of a temporary traffic disruption following the closure of a section of Thika Superhighway (51) Road at Kihunguro, from Friday, April 11, 2025, to Monday, April 14, 2025, between 2300hrs to 0400hrs. This is to allow for highway maintenance works along the section,” read part of the statement.
