“Ng'ang'a must be arrested, prosecuted, and jailed before worse happens at Neno Evangelism."

Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has called for the arrest and prosecution of Pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Center Church after a video of him slapping a congregant in church went viral.

In a statement on Sunday, April 13, Kaluma said the controversial pastor should be charged before anything worse happens in his church.

Kaluma urged Neno Evangelism Center congregants who have been assaulted by Pastor Ng’ang’a to report to the nearest police station.

The ODM lawmaker also demanded that the church be deregistered by the Registrar of Societies.

“Ng'ang'a must be arrested, prosecuted, and jailed before worse happens at Neno Evangelism. Whoever knows the guy he is assaulting in this video or any of the many worshippers he has ever assaulted should report to the nearest Police Station or see me immediately for urgent action.

"The Registrar of Societies should deregister this 'church' with immediate effect,” said Kaluma.

In the viral video, Pastor Ng’ang’a was recorded approaching a man who had dozed off in church and slapped him.

Nga’nga also hurled insults at the congregant before asking him to go and sit at the back of the church.

He then turned his anger to a woman who was sitting next to the man and questioned her why she allowed him to sleep in church.

Pastor Ng’ang’a is not new to controversy, in February, he humiliated Milka Moraa after she sought his help to pay rent.

The which also went viral online, attracted widespread condemnation of the Neno Evangelism Center pastor.

Moraa however landed an affordable housing unit at the Mukuru Meteorological Social Housing Site after well-wishers stepped him to help her.
