2022 presidential hopeful Mukhisa Kituyi today, March 6, was at the end of hostile reception when he visited Webuye, Bungoma County.
The former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) boss was met with an irate crowd following his arrival at Webuye airstrip in Matulo area.
A large crowd gathered at the airfield aired their disinterest in supporting Kituyi's bid for the presidency in the 2022 general elections.

The irate mob alleged that the former Cabinet Secretary has not done anything for the local community even during his reign as Minister for Industrialisation under the President Mwai Kibaki regime.
"Here in Webuye, Mukhisa Kituyi while he was a Minister for Industrialisation, he did not build even a toilet in Bungoma County.
"Now he is coming from Geneva to disturb us. We don't want that. We will not allow it," an angry resident declared.
The irate men and women loudly aired their displeasure at Kituyi's development record, reiterating that he did not have an accomplishment in Bungoma County to his name.
The mob maintained their disinterest in what Kituyi has to offer, joking, "sisi hatukuli ndege".
The former UNCTAD secretary-general declared his interest in Kenya's top job and is expected to tour the country to market his agenda.
Political experts had earlier indicated that the presidential hopeful would start his campaigns on home soil, however, the cold reception could make things tougher for him.
Kituyi is expected to battle it out with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi for who becomes the Mulembe Nation's kingpin ahead of the 2022 polls.
