"I urge all the young people of Kenya to reject this coalition of tumbocrats and projects."

Political activist and Inject Party leader Morara Kebaso has urged the youth to reject the opposition team led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

This is after former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i joined the team, which is aiming to unseat President William Ruto in the 2027 general election.

In a statement on Tuesday, April 29, Morara said young leaders should come together and chart a new path for the country.

The political activist said he is ready to sit down with progressive leaders who have not been involved in the theft of pubic resources.

“This is unity without vision, unity without purpose. I urge all the young people of Kenya to reject this coalition of tumbocrats and projects. Let all young leaders come together and chart a new path for Kenya.

“I am ready to sit down with progressive leaders who lack the experience of theft. We will not recycle the problem to solve the problem,” Morara stated.

Gachagua welcomed Matiang'i to his opposition team on Tuesday during a meeting.

The team also includes Kalonzo, former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi and former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi, People's Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, Torome Saitoti and Mukhisa Kituyi.

“The team to liberate Kenya gets bigger every day. Welcome, Dr. Fred Matiang’i, Hon. JB Muturi, and Hon. Mithika Linturi. You are on the right side of history," Gachagua said in a social media statement.

Matiang’i jetted back into the country from the United States (US) on April 17, where he was working with the World Bank.

The former CS has been endorsed by the Jubilee party to vie for presidency in the 2027 general election.
