Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has unveiled the leadership of the Democracy for Citizens Party.
Speaking on Thursday, May 15, during the launch of the party in Lavington, Nairobi, Gachagua announced that Cleophas Malala will be the Deputy Party leader.
Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi will be the National Organizing Secretary, while former Laikipia Women Rep Cate Waruguru will be the National Women Leader.
David Mingari will serve as the national chairperson, Peter Mwati as the Deputy National Chairperson for Strategy, Sarah Owino National Deputy Chairperson Operations and Hezron Obanga will be the party’s Secretary General.
Other DCP officials include; Martin Ole Kamwaro (Deputy Secretary General, Anna Mutua National Treasurer, Everline Wanjiru Njoka Deputy National Treasurer Strategy, Thomas Mwita Nyangi (Deputy National Treasurer), Andrew Kiplimo Muge (Director of Elections), Maina Kamanda (Chairperson of the council of eminent persons), David Njenga Gikonyo (Chair of Diaspora Caucus) and Barnabus Kinyua (Chair of the religious caucus).

The national coordinator for counties will be Alex Hamasi, Brenda Banjira will be the Executive Director of the Party, Christopher Mwadime as the Secretary for devolution, Mercy Gakuya as the Secretary for Education while Alvina Kabira will serve as the party’s Secretary for International Affairs.
Others are; John Maraga (Leader PWD), Abubakar Abdi (Deputy National Organizing Secretary Strategy), Sera Wanjiku (National Youth leader), Peter Mbai (Secretary for Economic Planning) and Lydia Barasa (Secretary for Health).
DCP has its headquarters along Musa Gitau Road, Lavington, Nairobi.
The party's colours are green, brown, and black, and its logo features a hand touching an ear.
