Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced 2,000 job openings in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, specifically for residents of Kilifi, Mombasa, and Kwale counties.
In an update on Friday, May 23, Mutua said several companies from Dubai are recruiting for various positions including motorcycle delivery riders, construction helpers, and gardeners.
According to the CS, the roles offer competitive, tax-free salaries ranging from Ksh31,000 to Ksh120,000 per month depending on the job category.
For instance, delivery riders can expect to earn between Ksh80,000 and Ksh120,000, while gardeners will receive between Ksh31,000 and Ksh45,000.
On the other hand, construction helpers will earn around Ksh35,000 monthly.

In addition to salaries, Mutua noted that successful applicants will benefit from packages that include medical insurance, accommodation, and in some cases, meals.
The recruitment process will kick off with a series of interviews scheduled to begin on Monday, May 26, in Malindi at Butwani Waterfront Park.
It continues in Kilifi on Tuesday, May 27 at Karisa Maitha Stadium, then moves to Mombasa on Wednesday, May 28 at Mama Ngina Drive, and finally concludes in Ukunda/Diani on Thursday, May 29 at Diani Showground Grounds.
According to Mutua, the interviews will run from 8 AM to 5 PM on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applicants are encouraged to arrive early, well-prepared, and professionally dressed, as poor grooming or casual attire will lead to disqualification.
Additionally, Mutua noted that eligibility requirements vary by role.
Motorcycle riders, for instance, must possess either a motorcycle rider license or a standard driving license.
To facilitate the process, the CS said NTSA officials will be present on-site to verify and issue licenses to qualified individuals.
Further, all applicants must either hold a valid Kenyan passport or show proof of passport application.
No academic certificates are required for gardeners or helpers, but strong presentation skills are encouraged.
Mutua warned that a neat, professional appearance is mandatory; closed shoes are a must, and sandals are not permitted.
Additionally, to support prospective candidates, the Ministry of Labour has coordinated with various government bodies to streamline the recruitment process.
Youth Fund officials will be available at the venues to provide financial assistance for expenses such as air tickets, medical examinations, service fees, and document attestations.
NTSA and DCI officials will also be present to facilitate licensing and the issuance of Certificates of Good Conduct, respectively.
