The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced 100 new job opportunities for the position of Resident Magistrate as part of its efforts to enhance access to justice across the country.
In an advert put out on Thursday, June 12, JSC said successful candidates will be deployed to serve in magistrate courts and small claims courts across the country.
According to the notice, applications must be submitted through the official JSC recruitment portal at https://jsc.go.ke/jobs-2/.
The deadline for all applications is Monday, 30th June 2025 at 5:00 PM.

Additionally, JSC noted that only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted, and any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
Further, JSC reaffirmed its commitment to equal opportunity employment and a merit-based recruitment process.
Additionally, the commission reiterated that its recruitment services are free of charge and has cautioned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters.
This comes three days after JSC announced 150 vacancies for judges and magistrates in the commission.
In a notice on Monday, June 9, JSC invited interested and qualified individuals to apply for the jobs.
The vacancies include Judge of the Court of Appeal (15 posts), Judge of the High Court (20 posts), Judge of the Environment and Land Court (10 posts), and Resident Magistrate (60 posts).
Others are Resident Kadhi (5 posts) and Resident Magistrate/Adjudicator Small Claims Court (40 posts).
Interested and qualified persons are required to visit the JSC jobs portal https://jsc.go.ke/jobs-2/ for detailed job descriptions, requirements for appointment, and to apply.
JSC noted that the applications should be submitted to the commission by June 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
All applications should reach the commission not later than 30th June 2025 at 5.00 p.m.
