Kenya Power has announced that parts of Kiambu, Uasin Gishu, Homa Bay, and Kilifi counties will experience planned power interruptions on Thursday, June 19.
The company made the announcement in a notice issued on Wednesday, June 18, citing routine maintenance works.
In Kiambu County, Gachie, Gichagi, Gacharage, Kihara Market, Gachie Hospital, and parts of Karura including Karura ka Nyungu, Karura Kagongo, and Karura ka Murimo will be affected.
Also affected will be St. Tito Secondary School and adjacent areas; power will be unavailable from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The second area in Kiambu includes Murera Sisal, Jujafarm, and Athi, along with a wide network of surrounding neighbourhoods such as Matangi-Ni, Hamundia, Theta, PCEA Matangi, Magomano, Ndarasha, Ndururumo, Ruiriro, and Pherie.
Other affected locations are Space & Style, KPP Production, St. Dominic School, Chai Road, Tumaini, Muhaka, and Nyumba ya Wazee, among others.
These areas will also experience power loss from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In Uasin Gishu County, the areas of Mugundoi and Cheptiret, including Outspan, Ancila, Rehema, Kabongo, Songoliet, and Cheplaskei, will have no electricity between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Homa Bay County will also be affected, particularly the Misambi and Bishop Okok areas.
Specific areas include Misambi Market, Oriang Parish, Bishop Linux Okok Girls School, Nyapalo Market, Othoro Market, Kodada Centre, Pala Coffee, and Atela Dispensary.
The outage here will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In Kilifi County, areas around Malindi and Msabaha such as Mshongoleni, Stage ya Mkikuyu, Kwachocha, Coast Boys, and Malindi Hand Craft will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
