The award of a Ksh647 million tender by the National Treasury to a company associated with Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi has birthed a new scandal.
This is after another bidder moved to the High Court challenging the ANC legislator's win in the tender.
The tender awarded is for the servicing of the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS).

ADK Technologies accused Agoi's Kingsway Business Systems of fraud in the tendering process. The High Court has since suspended the award.
ADK petitioned that its rival had specialised in insurance systems and not ICT solutions, and thus did not meet the required standards to earn the tender.
Their lawyer Duncan Kiprono asked the court to compel the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board (PPARB) to review the case afresh after it was thrown out in February 2021.
Treasury records list directors of Kingsway Business Solutions as follows; Alfred Agoi Masaida, Beatrice Kosgei, Simeon Ogendo, and Seth Asuza Changilwa.
Kiprono listed PPARB as respondents and the National Treasury and Kingsway as interested parties.
The tender was advertised by the National Treasury on June 16, 2020, inviting five bidders.
Kingsway won the bidding, having been the least in evaluation at Ksh647,064,000 while ADK evaluated at Ksh898,948,256.
Treasury Principal Secretary Julius Muia on January 25, 2021, announced that the tender had been awarded to Kingsway.
ADK then moved to PPARB in February and requested a review, alleging fraudulent awarding of the tender. The application was rejected.
Following the rejection, they moved to the High Court, where the tender was temporarily suspended pending determination of the hearing.
