A man suspected of involvement in a violent robbery in Parklands has been arrested in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
In a statement on Thursday, July 3, the NPS said the arrest follows a robbery with violence reported on June 28, 2025, at the Parklands Police Station.
"After pursuing several leads, investigators identified a vehicle linked to the crime. The suspect was tracked down and arrested in Eldoret town on 2nd July 2025," the statement reads.
The arrest led to the recovery of a silver Toyota Axio believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a reflector jacket, a police headdress with a white cover and two different vehicle registration plates.

The suspect and all recovered items were transported to Parklands Police Station for further investigation and processing.
The NPS praised the work of the officers involved in the arrest.
"The National Police Service commends the swift action taken by investigators and reiterates its commitment to protecting and serving the public," the statement concluded.
The incident happened a week after a 38-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly fleecing a Chinese national of $101,000 (Ksh 13 million).
Harriet Mary Wabwire was arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stationed at the Kamukunji Police Station.
According to the DCI, the suspect posed as the director of OTD Group Limited, claiming the capacity to supply wares to the victim.
"She claimed that she was in a position to supply aluminum alloys. In her elaborate scheme, she provided the victim with a forged bill of lading and a counterfeit Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) certificate of conformity," the DCI said in a statement.
The false documents uttered by the suspect indicated she could supply 23,890 kilograms of aluminum alloys.
She further lied to the victim that the materials had been packed and were ready for shipment from the Mombasa Port to Ningbo, China.
Convinced, the victim went ahead to transfer the monies to the suspect's bank account who later switched off her phone, arousing the suspicion of the victim.
The Chinese national went ahead to report the matter to the authorities who swung into action; using forensic leads, the detectives trailed the suspect to her hideouts in Nairobi's Tassia area.
She was arrested and booked ahead of her arraignment.
